While this may be true, all is not lost. The hottest fashion at the moment and one of Oprah’s favorite things is the “toy watch”  Affordable and fun, toy watches made by Italian Designers are the rage amongst Hollywood Stars.  With interchangeable straps and faces in a variety of super cool colors, these watches are meant for fun and can be switched around to match any outfit.

While diamonds are expensive, around $700 for a small 0.25 caret stone, it is possible to wear our favorite gems as a fashion accessory on our watches.  Cant afford a diamond? What about other gems like pearls or emeralds?  A tiny pearl can cost as little as $ 10 and could be displayed on a toy watch face.  Likewise with practically any precious gem stone.  We may not be able to afford a huge rock on our fingers, but tiny version set on a fun watch like a toy watch is quite feasible.

We cant help that precious gems are expensive.  The reason is plain.  They are extracted from the depths of the earth and undergo many changes in manufacturing process before we see them as jewels. Emeralds, diamonds, sapphires or even the classic pearl has to evolve many times before we see the end result. Whatever you favorite gem is, there are miniature  versions that you can wear on the face of your watch and which are quite affordable.  You too can display precious gems and keep up with fashion with the rad new toy watches.
